Trump continued to accuse Ukrainian President Zelensky “starting the war” and was responsible for the war that made “millions” of the dead.
“He always sought to buy missiles,” US President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House about the efforts of his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky to maintain the country’s defensive ability before conflicting with Russia.
“When you start a battle, you must know if you can win it or not. You cannot start the fight against someone 20 times larger than you, and then hope everyone provides missiles to you,” Mr. Trump added.
Mr. Trump also emphasized that this was the battle that should have not been started. “Mr. Biden should have stopped it, Zelensky should have ended it. Putin should not start it.”
The White House boss said that the Ukrainian leader was responsible for the conflict with the Russian president and former US President Biden. “You saw millions of deaths. They were killed for three. If the first said was Putin, the second ranked will be Mr. Biden, who did not know what the hell he did, and Mr. Zelensky. And all I could do was trying to stop it,” Mr. Trump said.

Mr. Trump’s comment made a day after Mr. Zelensky’s interviewCBS NewsApril 13. The Ukrainian leader refers to the Trump administration who is acting in “reality” in terms of conflict.
“I do not want to participate in the reality that people are presenting to me. First of all, we are not the attacking side,” Zelensky, adding that “Russia is the battle side and we are the victim”.

This is not the first time Mr. Trump has criticized Ukraine as the beginning of conflict. In a press conference on February 18 on the results of the US -Russian negotiations in Saudi Arabia, Mr. Trump said, “You should have ended the war after three years, and should never start it.”
In the social network post on February 19, Mr. Trump even called Mr. Zelensky “a dictator not elected”. The tensions on both sides escalated on February 28, when Zelensky had a fierce battle with Mr. Trump and US Vice President JD Vance.
Mr. Zelensky has since tried to heal the relationship, including sending the delegation to Washington last week to discuss the mineral agreement that Mr. Trump drove.
Mr. Trump on April 12 said that conflicting parties need to stop talking and starting to act. However, despite the criticism, the White House owner on April 14 is still optimistic about the prospect of an agreement to end the conflict.
“I want to stop killing and I think we are doing this problem well. I think you will soon have some very good proposals,” he said.
