Trump chose a former loyal assistant as the FBI (BBC-NPR) director
U.S. President Donald Trump chose former Kash Patel assistant to lead the Federal Investigation Department, an agency that Patel often criticized.
As the first former US National Defense Staff in the Trump administration, Patel was a steadfast supporter for the president of the Republic.
In order for Patel to undertake this job, the current FBI director Christopher Wray will have to resign or be fired – although Trump does not ask him to do so while holding the position.
Particularly, Trump said he plans to nominate Chad Chronister, the police chief of Hillsborough District, Florida, as the head of the drug enforcement agency.
Patel and Chronister joined the candidate of the Justice Head Pam Bondi in choosing the law enforcement personnel for Trump.
Also on Saturday, Trump announced he chose Charles Kushner as ambassador in France.
Mr. Kushner is a real estate developer and the father of Jared Kushner, his daughter’s husband, Ivanka Trump.
This nomination seems to be the first management position that Trump has officially given to his relatives since he was re -elected.

All three options must be confirmed by most votes in the US Senate.
Patel is loyal to Trump and shared the suspicion of the president elected to government institutions.
“Kash is a lawyer, investigator and warrior of ‘America above all’ talent, who has devoted his career to expose corruption, protection of justice and protect the American people,” Trump posted on Truth Social, his social media foundation, and added that Patel was a “truth supporter, explanation and Constitution.”
His previous suggestions include the “significant” limitations of the FBI authority. In his memoirs, Government Gangsters, Patel called for the removal of what he called the “governmental regime” in the FBI by firing “the heads”.
Patel will replace the current FBI director, Christopher Wray, who was appointed by Trump in 2017 for a 10 -year term.

“Wray director still focuses on the men and women of the FBI, the people we work with and the people we work for.”
As the son of Indian immigrants, Patel is a former defense lawyer and the federal prosecutor who caught the eye of Trump after he became a senior adviser to the House Intelligence Committee in 2017.
He was hired by Trump as a national security assistant in 2019 and a year later was appointed Chief of the Office of the Pentagon.
In addition to the memoirs published in 2023, he also published two children’s books to support Trump.
One of the titles, The Plot Against The King, about a villain, Hillary Queenton, tried to depose King Donald, who was helped by a witch named Kash The Distinguished Discoverer.

Chronister also has long experience in the field of law enforcement.
According to his official biography, he has worked in the law enforcement industry in Florida for 32 years and holds the position of highest -level law enforcement officers in Hillsborough District, Florida since 2017.
On social networks, Trump praised Chronister’s experience and repeated his concentration on the US drug and border issue.
“As an DEA administrator, Chad will work with our great general attorney, PAM Bondi, to protect the border, prevent Fentanyl flow and other illegal drugs across the southern border and save people’s lives,” Trump wrote.
