After the kiss cam incident that recorded an intimate scene between Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer, and Head of Human Resources Kristin Cabot at a Coldplay concert, social media continued to be stirred up by a series of accounts claiming to be relatives of the two main characters, spreading unverified information.
Over the weekend, a TikTok account named @ThatMarinagirll suddenly attracted millions of views when it posted a series of videos claiming to be Marina Byron, 23 years old, the “daughter” of Mr. Andy Byron.
In her videos, she shows her trauma and depression over her “father’s infidelity,” while satirizing the rich and promoting a budget travel company. “I’m trying to reconnect with life after my dad’s scandal in the papers,” she said in a clip sitting by the fireplace, which has attracted 36 million views, according to News.com.au.
However, according to public records, Andy Byron and his wife Megan Kerrigan only have two sons, no daughter named Marina. The videos by @ThatMarinagirll were later identified as being taken from the personal page of French model and singer Julie Tuzet.
On TikTok, Tuzet spoke up: “I am not the CEO’s daughter. Someone took my videos and content to create a fake account. Please report that account.”
Not only stopping at TikTok, a long and emotional post believed to be by Ms. Megan Kerrigan also went viral on Facebook. The post expressed feelings of loneliness, gratitude to the online community for their support and affirmed that she did not accept any donations.

However, the post originated from an unverified account that had no connection to any of Kerrigan’s previous official accounts. To date, there is no evidence that she ever published the post.
In the face of widespread fake news, Astronomer – the company once run by Mr. Byron – issued an official statement on LinkedIn, confirming that Mr. Andy Byron had resigned due to “failure to meet leadership standards,” according to CNN .
The company reaffirms its commitment to ethics and responsibility and claims it has nothing to do with the content circulating online. The false statements and apologies attributed to the management are also rejected.
The statement also clarified another misunderstanding in the kiss cam video: the girl standing next to the cheating couple was mistaken by many to be HR Vice President Alyssa Stoddard. Astronomer confirmed that the person appearing in the video is not Stoddard.
On July 18, the company said that Pete DeJoy, co-founder and chief product officer, will take over as interim CEO.
Toxic relationships ‘disguised’ as love
Many people insist that they do something because they “want your good”, but demand that you satisfy their demands. This is “low-level” love, which exists in many types of relationships such as friends, lovers, husbands and wives, parents and children. If you accept, you will be bound by the other person’s narrow-mindedness, lose your freedom, and always be immersed in sadness and melancholy.
