Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are leaving room for Jesus.
In a new interview on The Drew Barrymore Show, the “Hollaback Girl” singer, 55, opened up about the “best advice” she’s received since getting married to Shelton, 48, in 2021.
“Best advice would probably be make sure you have a third party,” said Stefani, pointing up as she seemed to reference God.
The Grammy winner spoke further about their marriage, revealing she prefers date nights at home to going out. “I’m literally couch, blanket, chips,” she explained. “I just have the whole thing — the dogs down right there, and then we have two couches, and Blake’s on that couch, and we’re like, ‘Hi!’”
“I would sit next to him but he’s gigantic, and we don’t fit anywhere,” quipped Stefani.
She also told Barrymore, 50, about preferring long strolls to late-night chats. “I think probably long strolls because I’m tired at that time. I’m so tired,” she said. “I love to be in bed early.”

Stefani and Shelton met while working on The Voice in 2014. At the time, she was married to Gavin Rossdale, and he was married to Miranda Lambert.
The now-spouses began dating in 2015, following their respective divorces, and eventually wed in 2021.
Last month, Stefani released a deluxe version of her Bouquet album featuring a new song “Still Gonna Love You” written with Finneas.

“This song is about love,” she said in a statement. “A love that can’t be broken, a love that no matter what is always going to be there, and a love that can always bring you back home.”
Shelton is gearing up to release a new album, For Recreational Use Only, next month. The project will feature a new duet with Stefani titled “Hangin’ On.”
Earlier this year, the country star shared a photo of him embracing Stefani to celebrate Valentine’s Day, writing in an Instagram caption, “Happy Valentine’s Day to my forever Valentine. I love you @gwenstefani!!!!!”
