Shocking return of Inter to Milan: fans turn their backs, stretcher in shock
Milan, June 2, 2025-After the sensational 5-0 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final, Inter returned to Milan last night in a surreal climate. There were no celebrations or applause, but silence, hard faces and a heavy atmosphere of disappointment. Dozens of fans, instead of welcoming the players with understanding, have chosen to turn their back on the team bus as a sign of protest.

A scene that has left even the same players astonished, including Nicolò Barella, one of the team’s technical and moral leaders. The blue midfielder, visibly tried, broke the silence to the microphones of journalists with strong words:
“I can’t believe that the fans have treated us like this. We fought throughout the season, we have reached a Champions League final, and now we feel abandoned.”

Barella, who had been one of the best during the European journey of the Nerazzurri, struggled to hold back the tears while talking. “I understand the disappointment – he added – but what we saw today was a blow to the heart. We need support in difficult moments, not of contempt.”

Many fans have expressed their anger on social media, criticizing the team’s performance in the final and accusing some players of lack of determination and pride. Others, however, defended Inter, underlining the great milestone achieved and inviting the curve to show more respect for a group that has still brought the club to one of its most important seasons in recent years.
Coach Simone Inzaghi also spoke in the hot press conference:
“We are the first to be devastated. Nobody would have liked to end like this. But this does not cancel the work done. We deserve respect, not only when we win.”
For now, the company has preferred not to release official press releases, but internal sources report that the changing room mood is at the historic lows. Some players would even be considering the future, fearing a hostile climate in the coming months.
The 2024–2025 season of Inter therefore closes with a very loving aftertaste. Despite a series A fought to the last and an extraordinary European journey, the collective memory seems destined to focus on the final defeat and the incredible break between the team and fans.
The question is now: will it be possible to mend this tear? Or will the dream faded in Munich mark the beginning of a new turbulent era for the Nerazzurri?
