Brazilian forward Rodrygo has reportedly told Real Madrid of his intention to stay with the club, despite recent rumours surrounding his future.
According to sources, the club is now expecting him to demonstrate his dedication on the pitch, particularly during the upcoming Club World Cup.
Rodrygo’s recent absence from the team was due to an undisclosed injury, which has kept him sidelined since the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona on May 26.
He had been substituted at halftime in that match and has not played for Real Madrid since.
It’s been suggested that the Brazilian national team hasn’t called up Rodrygo for their upcoming matches to allow him to recover his physical and mental form.
Rodrygo had previously expressed his desire to stay at Real Madrid, and it’s believed he has reiterated his commitment to the club’s leaders.
Real Madrid’s coaching staff and directors have been supportive of Rodrygo, but they have also urged him to show his form and commitment on the pitch.
New coach Xabi Alonso has included Rodrygo in his plans, and the player now faces a 45-day period to prove himself, starting with the Club World Cup.
