Real Madrid reportedly plan to trigger Nico Paz’s buy-back clause, but not to keep him in their squad. According to BILD via Fussball Transfers, the club aim to sell him to Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
Nico spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Como. Real Madrid will reportedly pay €8 million to bring him back before selling him for a much higher fee.
The report says Bayer Leverkusen see Nico as a replacement for Florian Wirtz, who is expected to leave the club. Real Madrid believe they can receive around €30 million for Nico.
Neither club nor player has made any public comments yet. The deal is still in early stages, but Madrid appear to be using their buy-back option to secure profit from one of their academy products.
