Mr. Donald Trump wants to stop tax increasing with China?

President Donald Trump on April 17 signaled the possibility of termination of retaliatory tariffs between the United States and China.
Donald Trump talked about the tariffs at the White House: “I don’t want to rise higher because at some point, it will make people not buy anymore. So, I may not want to increase taxes even higher, don’t even want to tax to that level …”.
Donald Trump’s comments continue to show that the leader no longer wants to impose high taxes on dozens of economies after the market responds violently.
Donald Trump imposed a 10% tax on most items imported to the US but delayed the higher tax rate while waiting for negotiations.
However, he increased taxes on goods imported from China, currently at 145% after Beijing responded by tariffs. Last week, China announced that it would no longer care “the game number of tariffs”, a sign that these tax rates would not increase further.
Donald Trump said China has contacted since the taxation and expressed optimism that it could reach an agreement. The sources say that while the two sides still maintain communication, high -level exchanges are almost not happening.
On April 17, Mr. Donald Trump did not mention the details of the negotiations between the two countries or whether he talked directly to Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Donald Trump also extended the legal term for Bytedance (China) to divest from Tiktok application in the US, a short video platform used by 170 million Americans. On April 17, he said an agreement on Tiktok may have to wait until the trade problem is solved.
“We have an agreement on Tiktok but it will depend on China so we will delay the agreement until everything goes smoothly.”
