Katy Perry‘s concert was out of this world.

On Wednesday, April 23, the “Firework” singer performed her first concert since the historic Blue Origin mission featuring an all-female crew. During the Lifetimes Tour stop in Mexico City kicking off her massive trek, Perry, 40, treated the crowd to some space-inspired dance moves while rocking a metallic bodysuit.

Other concert outfits had a similar futuristic flair with shiny details as her stage featured intergalactic visuals. She also posed with two fans in NASA-branded suits to take a selfie, joking with the crowd, “I want these gentlemen to come on stage because they are dressed like my most current timeline.”

At one point during the show, Perry addressed the crowd about her buzzy Blue Origin mission. “Has anyone ever called your dreams crazy?” she said, seemingly hinting at the April 14, 11-minute long trip to space with Gayle King and Lauren Sánchez, plus NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, astronaut and bioastronautics research scientist Amanda Nguyen and filmmaker Kerianne Flynn.

The trip saw the women float upside-down in space with views of the moon and Earth before promptly returning. While in space, Perry sang a few lines of  “What a Wonderful World.” Upon landing, Perry kissed the ground while her fiancé Orlando Bloom and their 4½-year-old daughter Daisy Dove watched.

“One day when you’re older, will YOU still look up in wonder?” Perry wrote on Instagram, reflecting on her trip to space the following day. “Still processing this incredible journey ✨.”

“Thank you @blueorigin and to my space sisters, taking up space AND making room in space for all – 143,” she added, shouting out Jeff Bezos‘ company for funding the expedition, part of New Shepard rocket program.

Perry also told ELLE ahead of the flight that the six women weren’t traveling to space without the proper “glam.” “Space is going to finally be glam. Let me tell you something. If I could take glam up with me, I would do that. We are going to put the ‘ass’ in astronaut,” she told the publication.

The Blue Origin flight was met with criticism. Actress Olivia Munn spoke out about the mission on Today with Jenna and Friends in early April.

“What are they doing?” she said, referring to the space trip. “I know this probably isn’t the cool thing to say. But there are so many other things that are so important in the world right now.”

“What’s the point? Is it historic that you guys are going on a ride? I think it’s a bit gluttonous,” Munn, 44, later added. “Space exploration was to further our knowledge and to help mankind. What are they gonna do up there that has made it better for us down here?”

Olivia Wilde also dragged the space trip. “Billion dollars bought some good memes I guess,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories.

Martha Stewart, Camila Cabello and the restaurant chain Wendy’s also poked fun at Perry’s expedition.

Perry’s Lifetimes Tour continues in Mexico City on Friday and Saturday nights before making its way to the United States in May and then on to Australia in June. It will then land back in the States for July and August before heading to South America in September and hitting Europe in October and November. Tickets are available here.
