‘OK, Pam’: Ex-prosecutor says AG Bondi gave ‘black eye’ to Trump with new filing

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi just gave Donald Trump’s administration a “black eye,” according to a former prosecutor.

Ex-federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner released a new episode of his “Justice Matters” online show on Saturday, in which he “takes apart” Bondi’s most recent legal action and flags “weak” spots.

Specifically, Kirschner flagged the federal government’s return of the wrongfully deported Kilmar Ábrego García, who was brought back to the United States months after the U.S. Supreme Court ordered the president to “facilitate and effectuate” his return from a brutal El Salvador prison.

Kirschner says that, in order to “save face,” Bondi and the Trump administration chose to charge the Maryland father with a two-count indictment involving allegations that García had unlawfully transported illegal aliens between states.

But this indictment makes a weak case, according to Kirschner, who wondered if the charges were “trumped up.”

He went on to highlight what he called a major problem with the indictment, namely that it hurts the Trump administration’s cause and gives it a “black eye.”

That’s because the indictment alleges the time frame García conducted these acts overlaps with Trump’s first term.

“Trump’s Department of Justice alleges in this indictment that Ábrego García and others were just running wild, this big bad conspiracy in the United States of America, transporting undocumented aliens, from 2016 to 2025,” Kirschner said. “So for the four years during the first Trump administration, this robust conspiracy was running rampant in the United States and Donald Trump and his Department of Justice apparently did nothing about it.”

The analyst then added, “Sounds like Trump was letting bad folk run wild in the United States for the entirety of his first term.”
