The vice -president of Inter Milan, Javier Zanetti, recently expressed his ambitions regarding the club’s market plans for the summer transfer window, revealing that the Nerazzurri intend to significantly strengthen the team with the arrival of “important players” in the coming months. Zanetti’s statements arrived in a moment of great enthusiasm for Inter, after a season that saw the team reach significant goals, but with the horizon already aimed at the future.

Despite the triumph in the championship in the 2023/24 season, which saw Inter graduate in Italy, the Milanese club had a relatively quiet summer market last year. In fact, only three new players arrived in San Siro: Piotr Zielinski and Mehdi Taremi, both acquired on a zero parameter, and Josep Martinez, purchased by Genoa for 14 million euros. Although these grafts have contributed to the success of the team, the market has not been as lively as that of other seasons.

However, Zanetti has assured that Inter will return to being absolute protagonist in the next transfers window. Inter have already made agreements for the arrival of Petar Sucic from Dinamo Zagreb, with the young Croatian talent who will join the Milanese club starting from June. Sucic, who has already attracted the attention of many observers, is considered one of the most interesting promises in circulation, and his signature represents the first step towards an ambitious strengthening campaign.

Furthermore, according to what reported, the club gained the trust of Nicola Zaleski, another name that could soon be part of the Nerazzurri rose. The Polish full -back, who is currently on loan to Rome, could be purchased definitively from Inter, activating the redemption clause in his loan contract. Its addition would represent another significant step in the construction of a team that, in addition to competing for the title of Campione d’Italia, has the ambition to dominate also internationally.

But these are not the only market operations scheduled. Zanetti has confirmed that Inter also planned some great caliber purchases, with the wing of Marseille, Luis Henrique, which should be one of the main objectives of the Milanese club. Henrique is a great quality player and his performances in Ligue 1 made him one of the most coveted outsiders on the market. Inter seem ready to make an important effort to bring it to Milan, in an operation that would be a clear sign of the club’s will to strengthen the team with elements of international value.
Zanetti underlined the importance of facing future challenges with the right mentality. “At this moment, we are still all enthusiastic about what happened yesterday,” said the vice president, referring to recent successes. “However, the time to sit and start planning next season is close. With the experience accumulated by all the games we have played – and those we still have to play – grafts will be made. Some important players will come”.
Zanetti’s vision does not only concern the market, but also the imminent commitment of Inter in the Fifa club world championship, a tournament that the Milanese club intends to face with the utmost seriousness. “We want to face the World Cup Club with great seriousness, first of all for the club we represent,” said Zanetti. “Everyone likes to win and compete. We will try to do our best and prepare in the best possible way. We will recharge the batteries for this new tournament.”
Before facing the Club World Cup, however, Inter have other equally ambitious objectives. The club intends to fight to the last to defend the title of Campione d’Italia and, at the same time, aim for victory in the Champions League. The ambitions are high, and the Nerazzurri management is preparing the ground for a new season of successes, with a mix of experience and young talents that should allow Inter to be the protagonist on all fronts.
The season that will come prompted full of challenges, but with the arrival of international players, Inter seems destined to strengthen itself further. Zanetti, with his statements, has launched a clear message: Inter are not satisfied with the successes achieved so far and aims to grow again, both nationally and internationally. The summer market will be decisive to achieve these objectives, and the Nerazzurri fans can expect another summer of great movement, with the arrival of players who could change the team’s face for the next few years.
