The Italian tennis world has been rocked by sensational news:  Lavazza, the historic Turin coffee brand and longtime sponsor of international tennis, has announced the termination of its ambassador contract with Jannik Sinner . The decision came just hours after the South Tyrolean champion withdrew from the final of the Cincinnati Masters 1000, an event that had attracted the attention of millions of fans.

According to  Giuseppe Lavazza , president of the group, the choice was motivated by a vision of values:  “For whatever reason, I don’t want to work with anyone who hasn’t given their all for Italy .” These harsh words immediately sparked a wave of discussion and controversy. Many fans and industry insiders deemed the stance disproportionate, considering that Sinner’s retirement was due to physical reasons and certainly not to a lack of commitment or national pride.
