There could only be a seat available at Yamaha, but then only before 2027, under Alex Ricciardo’s current contract terms, and satellite team Pramac could still be disappointed with the Spaniard’s departure last year. That leaves Hoda, who has a seat available for 2026 due to Luca Marini’s contract expiring, but there is something holding up any deal. The Japanese team is known to refuse to start serious negotiations until the rider is fully available. In other words, first Martiп must officially negotiate his exit. But the world of engines is evolving rapidly and by the end of the summer we should know what the future of the current reigning champion will be.
