Great explosion in Ferrari! The furious radio message of Charles Leclerc arises after Lewis Hamilton’s clash in the Netherlands GP
Charles Leclerc’s reaction has been revealed after Lewis Hamilton’s accident in the Netherlands Grand Prix, which caused the security car out.
In slippery conditions, Hamilton lost control of his Ferrari in curve Tres and touched the wall with his right front tire.
The impact was enough to cause irreparable damage on the right side of his car and force him to withdraw from the Grand Prix.
A lap before, Leclerc had entered boxes since the fifth position to change new hard tires while the rain began to fall strongly.
But Hamilton’s accident, which ended the race, caused the leaving the security car, which meant that the cars that went ahead of Leclerc could enter boxes and waste less time than the Monegasque driver during his stop.
Fortunately for his side of the garage, Leclerc only lost a position in front of George Russell, from Mercedes, but expressed his sensations on the radio of the team.
After passing the light of Safety Car to the side of the track, Leclerc was enraged: “No! Damn! My God! What bad luck! It is incredible.”
It is not clear if Leclerc knew that the pilot involved in the departure of Safety Car was his partner Hamilton at the time of his radio message.
In the resumption, the only Ferrari pilot that was left quickly got rid of Russell with an aggressive maneuver in the Chicana of the third sector.
Leclerc attacked Russell out (by the inner line in the second part of the Chicana) and hit the right side of his Mercedes before completing the maneuver.
Subsequently, the commissioners put it under investigation to cause a collision.
Hamilton will not end a Grand Prix for the first time in the 2025 season as a result of his accident.
He was disqualified from the Chinese Grand Prix, together with Leclerc, due to the excessive wear of the tables, but both Ferrari had completed the entire race before the approval of the FIA commissioners. Hamilton is also being investigated for an intentional infraction of the yellow flag before the race, although it is not clear if measures will be taken after withdrawal.
