Nasser Al-Khelaifi was the subject of an investigation concerning the call for tenders for the Qatar World Athletics Championship.

Press agencyAFPCiting a source from the French court said that the investigation focused on the world athletics championship in 2017 and 2019. London is the winning city to host the 2017 tournament, but Qatar is the country that organizes this year’s tournament in September and October.
Mr. Al-Khelaifi, in addition to the role of the PSG Club, is also the runner of the television channel of Qatar Bein Sports. The investigation for this businessman has taken place since March, to clarify the behavior of the bridge pot.
As a result, two payments worth $ 3.5 million in 2011 were taken in sight. These are transferred from the Oryx Qatar sports investment fund, where Al-Khelaifi and his brother Khalid are co-founders, to the fund of the former president of the World Athletics Federation.

Al-Khelaifi’s lawyer confirmed that allegations were inaccurate and that the president of PSG had confirmed any payment. Al-Khelaifi is not the only member of the Board of Directors of PSG accused of considering the bridge pot to gain the right of reception.
