Fact Check: Al Gore Did NOT Receive a $90 Million Custom Gulfstream from the Sultan of Kuwait

Al Gore is mad again. This time, it’s not about polar bears, rising sea levels, or the sun doing its job. No, this week’s tantrum comes courtesy of Donald J. Trump—who, according to Gore, is “undermining American credibility” by accepting the gift of a luxury jet from the nation of Qatar.

“The optics are just terrible,” Gore whined at a climate panel in Aspen (after arriving in a private helicopter and eating shrimp flown in from Norway). “You can’t accept lavish gifts from foreign nations and still claim to be a patriot.”

Interesting take… considering Al “Do As I Say” Gore allegedly accepted a Gulfstream G550 from none other than the Sultan of Kuwait back in 2011. That’s right. The former VP who’s been lecturing America for decades about carbon footprints was literally gifted one of the biggest carbon footprints on wheels—with wings.

DOGE (Department of Government Ethics) investigator Joe Barron told reporters, “We thought it was satire at first. The man who invented the internet and lectures the rest of us for owning gas stoves accepted a $65 million private jet. From a petrostate. For helping write a climate policy.”

When asked for clarification, Gore’s office explained, “The Sultan didn’t give Mr. Gore the jet. He simply provided ‘extended use’ of the aircraft as part of an informal long-term eco-awareness exchange initiative.”

Translation: the plane is his. He just doesn’t have to register it. Kind of like how a teenager thinks their parents’ car is theirs because they drive it every day and leave their hoodie in the back seat.

Meanwhile, Trump gets a plane from Qatar for “strategic outreach” purposes—basically, a flying billboard that says “America First” in Arabic—and suddenly, it’s an international incident.

The media, of course, ran with Gore’s outrage like it was gospel. CNN called Trump’s gift “a concerning breach of protocol,” while MSNBC interviewed a guy who once saw a Qatari falcon and now considers himself an expert in Middle Eastern politics.

To his credit, President Trump responded by waving from the tarmac of his new plane, which he’s named “Patriot One.” When asked about Gore’s comments, Trump smirked and said, “He’s just mad mine’s newer. And cooler. And doesn’t smell like hummus and hypocrisy.”

Art Tubolls, Assistant to the Assistant Undersecretary of Jet-Related Affairs at DOGE, said the department is still “reviewing” both instances.

“We’re looking at the details of both gifts, but it’s hard to get past the fact that one guy built an entire career pretending the Earth is on fire while flying around in a Kuwaiti gas tank with wings. The other guy just took a plane to own the libs.”

In the end, we may never know the true carbon cost of this story. But what we do know is this:

One of these men preaches environmental purity while cruising at 41,000 feet. The other just wants to land in style.

God Bless America.
