Elon Musk ‘quarreled with US Finance Ministers’ in front of Mr. Trump
The US media quoted sources that Elon Musk and US Finance Minister Bessent fiercely controversial about tax reform right before President Trump.

“Elon Musk screamed and said non -stop, and Mr. Scott Bessent could not control it,”The PostOn April 23, the White House source said about the controversy between the top two advisors of US President Donald Trump last weekend.
According to the source of news, the controversy between billionaire Musk and Finance Minister Bessent takes place regarding the reform of the US Tax Department (IRS). The two lost their temper to the point of arguing in front of President Trump and the officials in the White House at the time.
The second source, close to the White House, said the US Finance Minister and Mr. Musk could not find a common voice about the selection of IRS leaders and efforts to reform this agency, in which Musk wanted to proceed in a more drastic direction.
“Mr. Bessent has two tasks: both stable and stable. Elon Musk has only one task: Breaking everything in the reform process,” the source said.
Trade Minister Howard Lutnick was also present at the time and it seemed that he supported billionaire Musk, the source added.
The tension between the two is said to start increasing from April 16, when Mr. Trump chose the candidate supported by Musk as Gary Shaplley as the actor of IRS. Meanwhile, Bessent wants to nominate Financial Deputy Minister Michael Faulkender for this position.
The US media said Bessent sought to convince Mr. Trump to appoint Faulkender and were very angry when he discovered that Musk was “slipping behind his back”. Stress exploded when the two met at the White House on 17/4, in which Bessent criticized Musk for “promising a lot, doing little” in the budget reduction with the Government performance committee (DOGE).
Musk responded by calling Bessent “Soros agents” and accused him of operating “a failed protection fund”. The aperture was so fierce that an assistant had to stand between the two to separate them.
After the controversy between the top two advisors, President Trump decided to appoint Faulkender as the actor of IRS instead of Shaplley, according toNytimes. Faulkender will be the third temporary leader of this agency in just one week.
When asked about the controversy, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said there was no secret when the president decided to focus on people to discuss issues that affect the country.
“Disagreement is normal in the process of making a healthy decision. Finally, everyone understands that they serve as President Trump’s will,” Leavitt said.
Billionaire Musk once said that Mr. Bessent became US finance minister was just a normal choice, while letting Howard Lutnick undertake this position would bring change.
Musk has recently been controversial with White House Trade Adviser Peter Navarro. After being called by Mr. Navarro, the “car assembler”, billionaire Musk responded to this adviser “the mind lost the bricks”.
Billionaire Musk, close allies and the largest sponsor for Mr. Trump’s campaign, is in charge of Doge to conduct reforming the government apparatus and saving budget. However, the White House recently referred to Mr. Musk will soon leave the government.
