In a gesture as generous as it is outstanding, Ousmane Dembélé, the Paris Saint-Germain winger, decided to devote an important part of his fortune to a cause that is particularly close to his heart: dogs. Called “Dogtopia”, its pharaonic project is currently under construction around Paris, on a 15 hectare plot. The player’s personal investment amounts to more than $ 5 million.

But beware, Dogtopia is not a simple refuge. It is a real care and rehabilitation center for abandoned dogs, abandoned or having undergone deep trauma. The place will offer unique installations in France: training grounds, aquatic play areas, veterinary care provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week … and above all, an atmosphere of love and safety.

“We want to create a place where injured dogs, physically or emotionally, can heal and regain confidence in humans,” said Dembélé in an exclusive interview. “For me, dogs are not simple animals. They are family members. They deserve respect, attention and tenderness. »»

The French international hopes Dogtopia will become a model to follow throughout the country. He also wants other sportsmen, influencers and public figures to get more involved in social and animal causes.
“Success is useless if we do not share it,” he concludes. “I hope this project will inspire others to reach out to those who have no voice. »»
Dogtopia’s official opening is scheduled for next spring, and the first dogs should be welcomed in the first weeks. A touching initiative, like an often discreet player, but with a huge heart.
