The wife of Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom, the state’s First Lady Jennifer Siebel Newsom, has made headlines, and not in a good way.
Photos of Gavin Newsom’s wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, show her shopping at the ultra-luxury One Beverly Hills complex while large parts of Los Angeles were in chaos, the Daily Mail reported.
She was seen wearing $500 designer sneakers from Common Projects and carrying a $2,500 Goyard tote bag as Marines and National Guard troops moved into the city—sent by President Trump to help restore order during the riots, looting, and violent anti-ICE protests.
One of the spas at the complex was open, and a body had just been found outside a looted store nearby earlier that morning.
After the images went viral, the governor’s office jumped in with a statement, insisting that Siebel Newsom didn’t get a spa treatment but had stopped by to pick up skincare products. A spokesperson said she was there “on her personal time” and noted that she had a previous skin cancer diagnosis.

Meanwhile, there has been chaos in Los Angeles, and the only Democrat who appears to care is Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman.
Fetterman has once again broken with a majority of fellow Democrats over an issue his party seeks to inflame as a means of sowing chaos for President Donald Trump.
On Monday, Fetterman took to social media to criticize Democrats for prioritizing illegal aliens over federal immigration officials who enforce the law against those in the U.S. illegally, particularly those convicted of serious crimes.
In an X post that contained photos of violence stemming from riots in Los Angeles that have rocked the city for days, the Pennsylvania freshman senator stressed that he supported peaceful protests, not attacks on law enforcement and property destruction.
“I unapologetically stand for free speech, peaceful demonstrations, and immigration—but this is not that,” Fetterman wrote. “This is anarchy and true chaos. My party loses the moral high ground when we refuse to condemn setting cars on fire, destroying buildings, and assaulting law enforcement.”
Attorney General Pam Bondi has issued a clear message to those rioting and protesting against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deportations in Los Angeles.
During an interview on Fox News with anchor Sean Hannity, Bondi said Los Angeles “looks like a Third World country” amid riots and mayhem in the city over President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.
“What we’re going to do is we are going to enforce the law, regardless of what they do. Look at it out there, it looks like a Third World country, and it’s not. It’s the United States of America. We are not standing for it,” Bondi said.
The attorney general went on to announce that the Department of Justice would federally prosecute people who assault state and federal law enforcement officers.
“If California won’t protect their law enforcement, we will protect the LAPD and the sheriff’s office out there,” Bondi added.
Bondi revealed that nine people are already facing federal charges in connection with the protests, “and more to come,” for offenses such as assaulting law enforcement and looting.
“What we are going to do is we are going to enforce the law regardless of what they do. Look at it out there; it looks like a third-world country, and it’s not. It’s the United States of America. We are not standing for it, and Donald Trump won’t stand for it. Look at all this — the great men and women in the LAPD. We would like to protect them. If they will not protect them and prosecute people who abuse the LAPD during civil unrest under” federal statutes, Bondi continued.
“We can prosecute federally people who assault state law enforcement officers with a maximum of five years in prison, and we are going to do it,” Bondi said.
