Former Chairman of the House of Representatives Pelosi, who attended 11 inauguration ceremony of the US presidents, would not be present at Mr. Trump’s event.
Nancy Pelosi spokesman on January 16 said that the former US House of Representatives would not attend the inauguration of President -elect Donald Trump on January 20, but did not state the specific reason.
Pelosi fell in Luxembourg during a tourist trip to Europe in December 2024, having a hip replacement surgery in Germany. She was in the process of recovery, appearing at Capitol hill on January 3 as a California Democratic Congressman to elect the Chairman of the House of Representatives and confirm the results of the US presidential election on January 6.

Pelosi, 84, attended 11 inauguration ceremony of the US president, for the first time when John F. Kennedy was sworn in 1961. She still held a friendly view of the Republican presidents, especially Mr. George W. Bush, although the two people were different about the Iraq and Afghanist war.
Pelosi attended the inauguration ceremony of Mr. Trump in 2017, when he was a minority leader in the House of Representatives. However, the relationship between the two later became stressful and often attacked each other. One of the most famous contradictions is the case of Mrs. Pelosi tearing Mr. Trump’s federal message when both of them were in 2020.
Pelosi is also known as one of the contributors to President Joe Biden decided to stop the campaign in 2024, leaving the position of democratic candidate to Vice President Kamala Harris.
