President Donald Trump has recovered the right to protect security against the leading US health official Anthony Fauci, who has faced the threats of death since the leader of the country’s response to Covid-19.

“You cannot have a security team for the rest of your life because you work for the government,” Trump told reporters when asked about this decision on Friday. “That is a very standard rule.”
This week, Trump has also recovered security measures against former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, former National Security Adviser John Bolton and former Brian Hook special envoy, who faced threats from Iran.
Dr. Fauci has now hired his own security team and he would pay for this team, the US media reported.
When asked whether he felt responsible for the safety of officials, Trump answered on Friday: “They all make a lot of money. They can hire their own bodyguards.”
According to the New York Times, Dr. Fauci was previously protected by the Federal Police, and later a private security company paid by the government.
One of the most powerful Faucian Dr. Fauci critics of the Republican Party, Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, called on the recovery of his right to protect him.
He wrote in the post on X on Thursday that he “sent support information to terminate the limousine and security service 24 hours a day for Fauci”.
“I just hope he can be peaceful but he needs to pay his own limousine,” he said.
Trump has also recovered the security and immunity of 51 intelligence officials that once stated that Hunter Biden’s laptop has “all typical signs of a Russian intelligence activity”.
According to the United States’s rituals, their former presidents and spouses are protected for a lifetime of security. But the protection of other US officials is decided based on evaluation of threats from the intelligence community.
As a former Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Fauci faced many threats to murder during and after the Corona virus, as well as the republican criticism for the mask and other restrictions related to Covid.
He led the Institute for 40 years, including Trump’s first term. Trump also awarded the President’s Certificate of Merit to Dr. Fauci, who served in the Warp Speed campaign forces during the pandemic.
Before leaving the office, President Joe Biden issued an amnesty in advance for Dr. Fauci.
The doctor told the US media that he “truly appreciated” Biden for acting, and added that the possibility of being prosecuted has created “unmistakable suffering and endure” for his family.
“I would like to clearly assert that I have no guilt at all and there is no basis to accuse or threaten criminal investigation or prosecution of me,” he said.
