Poland said that Putin was “mocking” to end the Ukrainian conflict of Mr. Trump by constantly strengthening air strikes.
“More than a month ago, Ukraine agreed with unconditional ceasefire. The raids on Kryvyi Rih and Smy were Russia’s mocking answer,” Poland Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said today, when Luxembourg attended the Conference of European Foreign Ministers (EU).
Ukrainian officials on April 13 said Russia launched two ballistic missiles against the center of Sumy city, killing at least 34 people and about 117 injured. Russia on April 4 also ambushed the missile into the city of Kryvyi Rih that killed 18 people and 72 injured.
“I hope President Donald Trump and the US government find that Russian leaders are mocking their goodwill. I also hope they will make the right decisions,” said Foreign Minister Sikorski.

President Trump from the beginning of February has promoted peaceful negotiation in Ukraine. However, Moscow and Kiev have not reached a comprehensive ceasefire agreement, but only small commitments about stopping each other’s energy infrastructure.
The two sides then often accused each other in violation of the commitment to stop the ambush. The Smy city attack took place two days after Steve Witkoff, the special envoy of the US president, came to Russia to meet President Vladimir Putin.
When asked about this issue, Mr. Trump described the “terrible” Smy ambush and “they made a mistake”, but it was not clear whether it was made by Russia. The president of the US previously said that Russia -Ukraine negotiations could achieve progress, but the parties need to “stop talking” but must take actually acts.
After the attack on Syy, Kaja Kallas, a high -level representative of the EU security and foreign policy, called for “maximum pressure” to go to Russia to end the war in Ukraine. “All those who want to end the war should put the maximum pressure,” she said in Luxembourg.
