Recently, some reports claimed that Apple had decided that iPhone prices could be increased before the launch of the iPhone 17, which would cause Apple to incur huge losses worldwide. Apple’s iPhone 17 pro is expected to launch in September 2025. Apple is all set to unveil the iPhone 17 series in September 2025. Due to Trump’s tariffs war, Apple considered to launch iPhone 17 more than 3X expensive in September 2025. it’s known that China is a major manufacturing hub for Apple products, with over 95% of their products being produced there. Apple CEO tim Cook plans to increase iPhone prices which were recently launched inluding iPhone 16, iPhone 15, iPhone 14 and iPhone 13 to recover the Apple’s current loss of stocks and market cap. Recently, Apple stocks (AAPL) have suffered a loss of almost $700 Billion which is becoming very difficult to recover, due to which Apple wants to increase the prices of iPhone worldwide so that future Apple Stocks, Apple Revenue and current AAPL stock losses can be recovered. Recently we have seen that apart from all foreign imports in the US, the stock loss and domestic prices of US’s own companies have also increased due to which inflation has increased a lot inside the US but the US has also benefited in many sectors like employment, reduced domestic inflation and US government revenues.
Why do Apple, Tesla, and US tech companies increase domestic prices and Trump could forced to remove tariffs against China?
The US has benefited greatly in food, oil, employment and domestic manufacturing, but imports from China and the world over have become very expensive, which also includes Apple. In fact, apart from Apple and Microsoft, Trump had already warned many US companies to reduce imports from China and Europe but then again they started increasing the imports from China which means that US tech companies were getting a lot of benefits from China but now due to Trump’s tariff war, countries and governments across the world are also suffering losses. It has recently been reported that due to Trump’s tariff war, US companies have completely reduced their imports from China, which means that in future Apple, Tesla and Microsoft will manufacture in America instead of China and increase US exports. Due to this employment will increase there and the US government will again increase its exports globally. However, it is not within US’s power to do all this because it cannot export its goods to the world as cheaply as China can.
Why US companies can’t reduce imports from China and Why do Apple Prices increase triple?
Recently, it has been told that US tech companies cannot reduce imports from China even if they want to, which means that monthly labour cost inside China is approximately $350 but inside the US the cost of the same labour would be $6000 USD monthly. Trump’s tariffs have caused huge losses not only to China and Europe but even Tesla, Apple, Microsoft, and many US tech companies have been hurt. But now it has been told that Apple is going to keep the price of its upcoming iPhone 17 above $2500, which will not be possible for the common people of the US to buy the Apple iPhone. For example, India has also increased its imports from China, and India in 2025 knows that China will get a lot of help from India against the US and Indian tech companies are also going to benefit a lot. Recently a survey has revealed that US companies and US stocks have suffered the most losses in the US tariff war against China and Europe, and if in future US companies do not increase their manufacturing and exports in the US, then Trump may be forced to remove the tariffs against China and Europe.
