Real continue to actively work on renewing its squad ahead of the Club World Cup.
The Los Blancos are shaking up the transfer market. Real have already completed the transfers of Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold, and is finalising deals for Nico Paz and Carreras. The Madrid club don’t plan to stop there.
Xabi Alonso, who replaced Ancelotti as Real’s head coach, has pushed the club to spend in a way unseen for 16 years. Back in 2009, Los Blancos signed six players (Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo, Alonso, Kaka, Arbeloa, and Albiol).
According to Marca, the Blancos management plans to bring Angelo Stiller from Stuttgart to Madrid. Alonso believes the 24-year-old player can become the “brain” of the team and strengthen the midfield line for many years to come.
Real’s current goal is to recruit players who are more focused on teamwork and who can add their own style to Madrid’s game. Preference is given to those footballers who can gradually develop and become stars specifically within the Los Blancos squad.
