(NLĐO) – After the phone talks to the Korean leader, US President Donald Trump said the possibility of reaching an agreement with Seoul “positive” and still “waiting for the call” from Beijing.
“Their senior negotiation team is on their way to the US and everything is progressing well. The US is working with many other countries and all want to reach an agreement with the US,” said Donald Trump on social networks after a phone call with the act right of South Korean President Han Duck-Soo on April 8.
The US president said to talk to the Korean leader about a series of issues such as “giant and unstable” trade surplus, “shipbuilding industry, plan to buy natural liquefied natural gas, as well as payment for the US military forces.

Meanwhile, Mr. Donald Trump said that China “also wanted to reach an agreement but they didn’t know where to start”.
“We are waiting for their calls. It will come” – the US President said.
This statement was made in the context that the US prepared a new tax rate of up to 25% for imported goods from Korea, in the reciprocal tax package targeting about 60 partners that Donald Trump thought was a high trade deficit with the United States.
Pressure from the US is increasing when a record new tax rate – can be up to 104% for Chinese goods – prepared on April 9 (local time).
The Chinese side responded tough and announced “fighting to the end”.
Meanwhile, the global market has temporarily stabilized after many sharp decline. Wall Street has increased again thanks to hope for the ability to resume negotiations between the two largest economies in the world.
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 indexes increased by 3.4% and 3.5% as soon as the market was opened on April 9 (US time), showing investors’ expectations that the Donald Trump administration could reach an agreement to help mitigate or avoid this wave of tariffs.
