Tiger Woods’ former golf coach says what he really thinks of Charlie Woods’ swing in five simple words
Being the son of Tiger Woods and trying to make it on the biggest stage in professional golf cannot be an easy thing to do.
That’s the exact situation that Charlie Woods is in right now.

On one hand, he’s unbelievably fortunate to have someone like Tiger to look up to and lean on for advice.
On the other hand, constant comparisons with arguably the best there has ever been cannot be easy to deal with.
Woods Junior has received rave reviews for his golf game, including huge praise from Bernhard Langer recently.
However, there is always a feeling that whatever he does in the game will not be enough when it is compared to his father.
Hank Haney says what he really thinks of Charlie Woods’ swing
Hank Haney coached Tiger for six years from 2004 through until 2010.
So he is someone who knows the great man’s swing inside out.
But what does he think of Charlie’s golf swing? He took to his X account on Wednesday to deliver his verdict on the 16-year-old’s swing.
He said: “That’s a great golf swing.“
That will be hugely encouraging for Woods Junior to hear.
He clearly has something very special about him, and at just 16 years of age, the golfing world really is his oyster.
Why Charlie Woods’ recent win meant so much
Back in May, Woods won the Team TaylorMade Invitational – his first American Junior Golf Association event victory – at the Streamsong Resort Black Course, with a score of 15-under par, 201.
It really was a sensational display of golf from the teenager, and it sent out a big message to everyone.
Most importantly, it proved to all of his critics that he is not playing in these tournaments purely because of his name alone.
There is no nepotism going on here.
Charlie Woods is just very good at golf. Whether he will ever be as good as Tiger is a whole other debate, but he doesn’t need to be, does he? That’s the bottom line.
