Red Bull’s Formula 1 pilot, Yuki Tsunoda, spoke after the dismissal of Christian Horner, who was his boss for many years, Wednesday.

After 20 years at the head of Red Bull, Horner will stop participating operationally in the team from the Belgium Grand Prix at the end of the month.
After the news, a video of the 51 -year -old pilot was disseminated by addressing the team factory employees in Milton Keynes with an emotional farewell.
Horner won six builders’ titles, eight of pilots and 124 major awards with the team as a tribute to his great work, including that of the current world champion, Max Verstappen.
Verstappen’s teammate, Yuki Tsunoda, also broke his silence after the news, after being promoted by Horner in the middle of the season to replace Liam Lawson.
Talking via X, Tsunoda wrote: “Thank you, Christian, for all the support you have given me this year.
It has been incredible to see what you have achieved in Red Bull Racing and thanks for allowing me to be part of it. ”“ I have learned a lot and I am grateful for everything, ”he added.
Tsunoda’s relationship with Horner before the 2025 season had sometimes been tense, since the Japanese pilot claimed that ascending to Lawson instead of him would not make sense in 2024.
The Red Bull driver carried in the Brother Racing Bulls team (previously Alpha Tauri) since 2021 and many in the F1 paddock believed that he deserved an ascent before.
However, Tsunoda’s stage in Red Bull has been far from being successful to date, and Verstappen seems to be the only pilot on the grill capable of taking the current Red Bull near the top.
Christian Horner’s statement on his departure
Horner also broke his silence after the shocking news of his departure.
On Instagram, he wrote: “After an incredible twenty -year trip together, with great regret I say goodbye today of the team that I have loved so much.” Each of you, the incredible people from the factory, has been the soul of everything we have achieved.
Winning and losing, in every step of the road, we have supported each other as one and I will never forget it. It has been a privilege to be part and lead this epic team, and I am very proud of our collective achievements and all of you.
Thanks to the incredible partners and fans who allowed us to compete. His support has helped the growth of the team from its humble beginnings to become a power of the F1 that has won 6 builders championships and 8 pilot championships.
Likewise, thanks to our rivals, with whom there would be no competition. They have driven us, have challenged us and have allowed us to get prizes that we never dream of possible. The competition has made each victory sweeter and every setback, an opportunity to develop and grow.
Formula 1 is a sport based on tireless ambition, passion and respect. The rivals have been fierce, but the mutual impulse to innovate and overcome is what has made this adventure so special.
“It has been an honor to be part of this incredible era of motoring. I am with an immense pride for what we have achieved and also for what we have planned for 2026, and enormous respect for all those who have made the F1 the top that is today. Thank you.”
“Christian.”
