Kylian Mbappe has officially filed a complaint against the former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) player for the alleged “spirit of harassment”, in a development that has shocked the global football village.
According to RFI, the Paris prosecutor confirmed the opening of a judicial investigation on June 24, 2025, after receiving an official complaint from MBAPPE. Specifically, the French striker accused PSG of isolating him and putting mental pressure on him during a tense period related to his 2024 summer contract.
The investigation has now been assigned to two independent judges, opening a new chapter in the previously strained relationship between MBAPPE and the French capital team.
The source of the incident is believed to be MBAPPE’s refusal to sign a contract extension with PSG. At that time, the host team dropped him from the main squad, so he wouldn’t train with the entire team during the new season’s preparation period.

According to MBAPPE, this action is to force him to make a choice: sign an extension, or leave right in the summer transfer window.
The above-mentioned behavior, according to MBAPPE’s argument, constitutes a violation of professional rights and creates unnecessary psychological pressure, thus forming a legal basis for the allegations of “mental harassment.”
Beyond the mental health issues, the legal battle between MBAPPE and PSG is escalating with a serious financial dispute. According to MBAPPE, the former team still owes him salary and bonuses worth up to €55 million.

Last April, the 26-year-old star requested a custody order pending a final decision, which was granted by the court. However, PSG immediately responded with a counter-argument, requesting to have the custody order overturned and claiming that Mbappe was the one who owed the club a certain amount of money.
This has led to ever-increasing tensions between the two sides, from contract disputes to courtroom conflicts. The incident has now escalated into a “full-blown legal battle” between the world’s top superstar and one of Europe’s most powerful clubs.
As MBAPPE gradually recovers and prepares for the FIFA Club World Cup with Real Madrid, this trial could set an important precedent for how major clubs manage their relationships with their stars.
