Angelo Stiller is not on the verge of a move to Real Madrid, despite claims circulating in the Spanish press. According to BILD, the VfB Stuttgart midfielder has not reached any verbal agreement with the Spanish giants, and there is currently no indication of an imminent transfer.
The 24-year-old, who has impressed during his time at Stuttgart, is under contract until 2028. While it is true that his deal includes a release clause worth €36.5m, this clause does not become active until 2026. Furthermore, Stuttgart hold a veto option that allows them to block a potential move by buying out the clause for €2m should another club express concrete interest.
Stiller has also not communicated any desire to leave the Bundesliga side this summer, despite reports to the contrary in recent weeks. The midfielder has remained fully committed to the club and has not handed in any kind of transfer request.
Real Madrid are not the only club monitoring his situation. Liverpool and Arsenal are also said to be interested in the German international, keeping a close eye on his development and contractual status.
At this stage, however, Stuttgart retain full control over Stiller’s future, and there is no active negotiation with any of the clubs linked to him.
