President Donald Trump revealed that his youngest son, Barron Trump, will play an important role in this year’s FIFA World Cup matches.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted at 12 stadiums across the U.S., starting June 14 and ending July 13, with dozens of matches between the world’s biggest soccer clubs. The tournament will be played in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

“These events will attract millions of passionate fans around the world, including my son. I have a son that loves soccer – Barron,” Trump said.

He then joked with the room: “Nobody’s ever heard of Barron, right? Have you ever heard of Barron? He’s a good soccer player, too.”

Trump announced Tuesday that Andrew Giuliani, the son of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, will be the executive director of his World Cup task force.

Barron’s role is still a mystery, but he will at least attend several World Cup matches next summer.
