Liam Lawson received a serious warning: he can lose his place in Formula 1 for the second time in 2025.
Before the 2025 season, Lawson was chosen as Max Verstappen’s new teammate at Red Bull, replacing the Mexican Sergio Pérez.
However, after two disappointing performances in Australia and China, Lawson was brutally fired and quickly replaced by Yuki Tsunoda.
After losing his place at Red Bull, the New Zealand returned to the Sister Visa Cash App Racing Bulls team, driving alongside newcomer Isack Hadjar.
Lawson was expected to reinvent himself after his return to Red Bull, but it has been difficult for the 23-year-old.
Since his return, Lawson has not marked a single point for Red Bull, while Hadjar added five.
As a result of his continuous problems, Lawson received a warning that he could be fired for the second time.
According to former F1 assro Juan Pablo Montoya, Red Bull may already have a replacement.
As reported by Planet F1, Montoya, who won seven great F1 awards during his career, told As: “I will tell the truth. If Liam wouldn’t improve anymore, I wouldn’t be surprised if they included (Arvid) Lindblad at some point. No way. I wouldn’t be surprised at all.”
Honestly, Liam received green light last year and proved that he has what it takes to do a good job. “They gave him the vacancy at Red Bull and he won her.”
He added: “The situation with Red Bull was complicated, and I think he suffered a severe blow to the liver, and needs a lot of psychological treatment after that.” And if he doesn’t recover soon, I’m sure Red Bull will start looking for another team, because that’s how they work. It’s Red Bull, it’s a little similar to what’s going on with Alpine now. If Franco [Colapinto] doesn’t do well, the same thing will happen to him.
Arvid Lindblad is very well rated on Red Bull and has been appointed as a F1 candidate. In recent months, Christian Horner and Helmut Marko have praised him.
