Ducati team manager Davide Tardozzi remains optimistic that Pecco Bagnaia will be able to adapt to the GP25 MotoGP bike, despite facing challenges with the front-end feel of the bike. While Bagnaia has made his best start to a season in terms of points in 2025, he has struggled to match the pace needed for consistent victories. His main issue has been his inability to attack the front end of the bike like he did in 2024, which has led Ducati to work on improvements.

Tardozzi acknowledged that Bagnaia’s performance has improved compared to last year, and he is currently third in the championship, just 20 points behind the leader. Tardozzi emphasized that Bagnaia is riding better than in 2024, with the level of competition rising. While they are still working on finding the right balance for the front end, he believes Bagnaia can adapt to the new bike.
Bagnaia has previously expressed interest in returning to the GP24 after some difficulties with the GP25, but in Spain, he acknowledged that the 2025 bike has more potential. Tardozzi confirmed that the GP25’s engine differs from the GP24, which could be a key factor in the ongoing adaptation process. Despite the challenges, Tardozzi is confident that Bagnaia has the ability to adapt and maximize the potential of the GP25.
