WASHINGTON (TNND) — Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk on Friday shared his support for “Trump 2032” as President Donald Trump continues to vie for another term in office.
The 22nd amendment of the Constitution states “no person shall be elected to the office of the president more than twice,” meaning Trump is ineligible to run for reelection. Despite this, Trump has continually hinted “there are methods” for seeking a third term in office.
“You know, we’re very popular,” Trump said in March. “And you know, a lot of people would like me to do that. But, I mean, I basically tell them, we have a long way to go, you know, it’s very early in the administration.”
Trump’s website now sells a $50 “Trump 2028” hat, with the caption “the future looks bright!” Included in the listing is an image of the president’s son Eric wearing the hat, who has not announced a presidential bid.
Musk appeared to support the move by sharing an image of a similar hat reading “Trump 2032.”
“Think ahead!” he wrote.
The support comes as the 2028 presidential field is already beginning to take shape. ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith this month announced he is weighing a presidential bid.
“Hate the thought of being a politician,” he said. “But sick of this mess. So I’m officially leaving all doors open.”
