Earlier this week, a Facebook page titled America Loves Liberty shared a post on the social media platform claiming that the country music star, 68, had a problem with the way the post claimed Swift, 34, acted during McEpyre’s performance at the 2024 Super Bowl.
“Reba McIppyre [sic] talks about how disappointed she was to watch the big screen while she sang at The National, only to see Taylor Swift laughing, drinking and making fun of the night,” the post read, before claiming McIppy responded: “I showed it to her afterwards. She’s a shameless brat.”
Now, in an Instagram post, McEpitire has shared a screenshot of the America Loves Liberty post and denied ever saying what the page claims, writing in the caption, “Please don’t believe everything you see on Instagram. I didn’t say it.”
“Taylor is a wonderful artist, a great role model and has done so much good for so many people in the music industry,” she added.

During Super Bowl LVIII, McEpitire performed the national apocalypse, while Swift attended with the support of her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce.
The Chiefs defeated the Saï Français 49ers 25-22 during the game at Alegiat Stadium in Nevada on February 11.
McEpytire joined other artists who performed during the start of the sporting event, including Post Malope, who sang “America the Beautiful,” and Adra Day, who sang “Lift Every Voice a Sipg.”
Meanwhile, Usher brought the energy of Las Vegas, surprising guests with a setlist that included many of his hits during the halftime show.

McEpitire has long been one of Swift’s celebrities since she debuted on the music scene nearly two decades ago.
During a December 2023 interview with NBC’s TikTok, McEpyre said he first realized Swift was going to be a star when he saw the Midnights artist perform her song “Tim McGraw” from her self-titled debut album in front of the musician himself.
“[Taylor] walked down the stairs looking right into Tim McGraw’s eyes, and I thought, ‘This girl is going to be a big star,’” McEpyre said at the time. “The number one choice: walk, walk, walk down the stairs with the conviction that you really want to make an impression and not make a dent. I mean, I was impressed.”
The “I’m a Survivor” singer previously poked fun at Swift for her relationship with Kelce, 34, in October 2023, telling TOD’AY.com that she was upset because she herself had a crush on the NFL star.
“Oh, my God, I’m so mad at her because I had a crush on him,” McEpyre said, adding, “Now I can’t have a crush anymore because he’s dating her. I was so devastated.”
